●Policy on International Communication of Japanese Society of Orthopedic Ultrasonics (JaSOU) as of April 2020
(Name and Objective)
- The Japanese Society of Orthopedic Ultrasonics (JaSOU) states the policy on international communication with foreign countries to promote basic research and clinical application of musculoskeletal ultrasound through international exchange of knowledge and unique techniques.
(Members of the International Communication Committee)
- The international communication committee members consist of international committee members.
- The chairperson of the committee conducts conferences with its members as needed.
- The international committee makes an annual report of activities and action plans which will be presented at the executive board meeting.
(Course of action)
- Teaching equipment and hands-on training are provided for Asian countries
- Travelling fellow
- JaSOU selects one or two travelling fellows annually.
- The Executive Committee decides and selects the travel destinations that are deemed to be useful for the travelling fellow and members of society based on the recommendation of the International Committee.
- The requirements for a travelling fellow include:
- JaSOU member for at least 3 years.
- Has published 3 or more original articles accepted by JaSOU.
- Has done at least one English research paper on ultrasound as a first author or co-author.
- Has passed an interview in English with the member of the International Committee.
- is nominated by the recommendation of the board member under a special circumstance.
- JaSOU provides travelling fellows with round-trip airfare (economy class) for each destination.
- Travelling fellows are required to make an annual report at the annual conference of JaSOU.
- JaSOU and University of Pittsburgh established an exchange (travelling) fellowship program.
